This is a little clip of my new Sea Ray on Serpent Lake in central Minnesota. My dog, Gunner isn't quite sure what to make of the adventure

  • nice, a newer version of my 95 series 175how fast did you get it up to and on a how many blade prop?

  • With a 3 blade 14" by 19 pitch stainless prop, it does 41, almost 42 mph at just under 5000 rpms

  • It just has the 3.0 Liter engine

  • my bad, it's a 13.5 X 21 Pitch prop

  • 45 is good. is that using a gps? Also what engine do you have?

  • That was using the speedometer on the boat, I haven't tried the GPS because the strong current will make the gps speed irrelevant to how fast the boat is pushed on the water. my sea ray has a 3.0 litre LX (135 horse on an alpha one out drive) that tops off at a hair above 4800 rpms. If I really trim it up and have a cupped prop on I can get it to 47 MPH. otherwise 45 is tops

  • did you try trimming it up to the first bold line on the trim guage? When mine is up that far I can usually get it up to 45 at 4800 RPMs on a 3 blade aluminum cupped prop. I cant quite remember the pitch, I think it's close to the pitch on your prop. I think its a 15 by 20 pitch. I could be wrong though

  • what did you get it up to ???
