To further the point, dry ice is very common on Mars. The dry ice comes from Mars' large CO2 atmosphere and may possibly make up a large chunk of the planet's polar ice cap.
Because of seasonal changes once an earth year when the planet cools, there is a large shift of gaseous CO2 turning into frozen CO2(dry ice) which on the other heated side of the planet causes the dry ice to warm into CO2 gas causing Mars' huge dust storms.
