So after removing the old grass, we first use a pick axe to bust up the soil and allow the RotoTiller to really get down in there and RotoTill at least 6" inches deep, We then RotoTill, then do a quick leveling of the soil, then spread a 3" inch thick layer of Compost, and then RotoTill again to mix the Compost down into the soil, then we inspect the Sprinkler System, and do a final leveling befor laying the sod on top.
