  • hold on if genetics cant explain why cancer is on the rise or any other disease, than figure out a new test. you cant say test A doesn't work so it must be something else. thats not how science works. if test A doesn't work then create a new test B and try again. for all you know it is genetics and that the environment isnt flawed, the test to test for that is.

  • @XysflightchampX, It's impossible to test on humans. First, you can't isolate unexposed controls, because everyone is exposed to BPA - it's ubiquitous. Second, exposing humans to large amounts of a suspected carcinogen would be unethical and illegal. Third, cancer takes so long to develop you would longitudinal studies that are being done but without proper controls. BPA acts as an estrogen that our bodies can't recognize or neutralize, and excess estrogen causes breast cancer.

  • Ok so now I'm scared I'm an 11 year old girl and my parents aren't worried about this at all I feel.... Scared I need help please I'm so parinoid I feel like I can't even touch plastic!!!!

  • @footballchic123 listen to me. the chemicals they say are poisones aren't. they test them on lab rats and sure they mess up the rats but they have NEVER been shown to cause problems in humans. also they say people with these chemicals in them are at this high a risk for this and that, but so are the people who don't have the chemical in them. point is this is just a media scare. dont worry about it.

  • @XysflightchampX It's actually more than a media scare. If anything the media has been slow to take it up.

  • @footballchic123 I just wanted to respond to you, footballchic because you need to know you can protect yourself. You can touch plastic, just don't microwave your food in it. Eat healthy, get enough exercise, and be conscious but not obsessed. If you feel like you need to wash your hands all the time, you have OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) which is very common and has some effective medical cures. If you're miserable, get help! All my love in your direction. Catherine

  • It's hard to get away from all of the crap that the government is exposing us to, but try and do your best. All ways put your children first, even if it means spending a little more money to keep them healthy.

(Fuck Bush, Fuck Obama, and Fuck the whole Fucking government!!! We're coming Mother FUckers!!!)

  • If you still use fluoride toothpaste then STOP!! Fluoride is a poison also. It's in tap water and a lot of bottle water too. boiling the water will not get it out. Primo water is fluoride-free and chlorine-free but the 3 and 5 gallon jugs contain BPA. However the Primo bottle water does not contain BPA.

  • Many things that we are exposed to in the environments today are being identified as causing disease & illness. Only recently has BPA been removed from baby’s feeding bottles! It is no coincidence that cases of autism have increased to epidemic levels. Ten years ago something like 1 in a 1000, today it's 1 in a 100. Google vegetable oils being toxic and trust me when I say we live in worrying times. Many modern day creations are harming us IMO. Do your research & remember knowledge is Power!

  • @catemuse why does everyone freak out about breast cancer? more women die in a year from lung cancer but we don't care about that. still.. the scientist who discovered BPA's effects performed many tests and experiments, proving her point, that couldn't be replicated by any other organisation. also, her first identification of BPA causing problems in her lab rats/mice (i don't know) was after a janitor had used a harsh cleaner in the water container of the rats/mice.

  • @catemuse the media has picked it up multiple times in the past. just recently in fact (middle of summer ish 2010) and any time a new study comes out SOMEONE talks about it. but if you learn how and why it was discovered then you would be able to determine it is probably safe. i can't find the site that details one scientists discovery of its health affects but it's a lot of crap (her "studies") i'll tell you. also this has never been tested for safety in humans. just lab rats.

  • @fukdaNWO in order to identify something as poisonous you need to specify the dose at which it becomes poisonous. for example saying " fluoride is poisonous " is only part true as yes in a high dose it is (so is oxygen and any other chemical) and in a low dose fluoride is helpful. it's like saying that any amount of lead can harm you. it is a fallacy as yes lead can be toxic in a high concentration in your body but it is already present in your body and in small amounts it isn't harmful.

  • @xxneddaxx do you remember the last time someone around you who wasn't a grandparent got smallpox? o ya thats right due to mass vaccinations of the world population smallpox is non-existant in any human anyware in the world. and vaccines do harm and kill people but not nearly as many as the illness they prevent would have. and your not educated you said it your self. but your ignolrant because you dont research your opponent. i have looked into why BPA was discovered and i now know it's safe.

  • @XysflightchampX OMG Im Sorry but i cant help it to not call someone a moron when they think BPA is safe.... Also i dont need to be educated i know very well about everything from health to the corrupt government! I'll bet u also think that vaccines are SO SAFE & SAVED US ALL RIGHT???!! lol

  • @xxneddaxx why are you calling me a freak? I'm making a good point (a good deal of people will assure you bottle feeding is better when they're wrong) and all your doing is calling names. come up with some facts next time you say something to me because ill bet you haven't checked to see just how harmful BPA is. FYI the news can be wrong so dont start with "on the news they said..."
