  • If the monitor is like most of Samsungs you just need a screwdriver!

The front and the back are 'clicked' together so place the screwdriver between the front frame and the backpanel and twist it!

On mine it is right between the grey frontframe and the black backpanel and you should do it on the top, the sides and the bottom.

It is hard to do it without leaving some small marks.

  • This is all well and fine but what I need to know is where in the H*** to buy the bloody fuses???? Be alright if i knew what the rating was but that's where the web seems to become tight mouthed :(

  • @The10inchnail ebay : as-is parts/repair ^^

  • @The10inchnail You got ripped off man, caps should be no more then 50 cents a piece

  • you took the words right out of my mouth. I'v had nothing but catastrophy after the next with chinese caps. Great work btw. I threw mine out after examining a 2 yr old blown Y-board-- nothing but junk.

  • @MyRitmo I can't say for sure, but if the monitor is more that 4 years old I would change the caps anyway and see what happens.

  • HI!! does the humming sound of the samsung disappear when changing to better capacitors? if not do you know what causes that evil buzzing sound, i have another monitor a LG and that one is completely quite.

  • how do i take apart the back of my samsung 2033SW monitor.there are only 2 screws, and a "K key" lock slot. What type of tool do i need and where do i obtain it?

  • Capacitors eating all the power and getting fat and grumpy. Some of them cracked their skull and puked their brains all over the place! I'm still laughing. Best personification of capacitors ever. I can almost smell the burnt electrolyte.

  • Great repair!
