@IHatchetJack That may be why it was there in the first place. The one who broke it off maybe a few hundred years ago had made many, many stone tools perhaps and to his or her practiced eye knew it was not a "keeper" I have several old stone tools and would love to hear their stories. One of them is now very small and I am willing to bet was once much larger and re-flaked until it became too small and was discarded.
