X-Mas Nightmare DOOM 2 - Santa's Workshop Ultra-Violence 1/2

This is me playing through my own Doom II mod: X-mas Nightmare for Doom II 2K7. This is actually an update of a X-mas mod for the first DOOM, made 13 years ago by ByteBrothers Software. MAP04 was the original map that came with the first version of the MOD, and it was for the original DOOM.

The 2K7 version takes advantage of the modern sourceport features, such as security camera screens, swimmable liquids, and 24-bit color depths. The 2K7 version also has many custom maps made by me.

This video is me playing through MAP10 (Santa's Workshop) on Ultra-Violence mode. This level is so huge and sprawling that even a semi-speedrun attempt of this level takes a long time. Casual play of this level on Ultra-Violence takes up to 30 minutes. I consider a completed time of 12 minutes or less on this level a fast time. This Santa's Workshop run clocks in at 14 minutes, so I had to split this into two parts.

The following links are to the most complete version of this Christmas Doom II mod I've done so far. This has eight maps completed (MAP01, MAP02, MAP03, MAP04 MAP05 - incomplete, MAP07, MAP08, and MAP10). I wanted to release a fully complete version of this Doom II mod on Christmas 2007, but real life got in the way.

Something about this mod makes it seem quite a bit more more sinister than the original.

Problem is that I cant tell if its the Reindeer that look like they are missing their hind legs, the Boos charging at you in tight corridors or the eerily cheerful Christmas music blaring at you as you tear into the pathetic enemy NPCs wearing Santa hats...
