Viewers in Lissettes native South Florida now tune in to WFOR-TV CBS4 and its sister station WBFS-TV My33 every weekday to catch her award-winning weather forecasts. Every morning from 5 to 7 am and again at noon on CBS4, her radiant smile greets early risers and lunchtime viewers. From 7 to 9 am, Lissette provides live, local weather updates both in and out of the studio throughout the National CBS Early show.
Prior to joining CBS, Lissette was the primary Weather Anchor for the KTLA Prime News alongside the late, great Los Angeles broadcasting legend Hal Fishman. During the time they shared on the air, Lissette learned from the very best. Lissettes KTLA weathercast was recognized by the Associated Press Television-Radio Association of California, Nevada and Hawaii with a Mark Twain AP Award for Best Weather segment. She was also nominated for a Los Angeles Emmy Award for her work as host of the KTLA special Access LA: de todo-Latin Explosion. Lissette reported live from award shows, red carpets, and the hottest spots around Southern California.
Lissette has had a diverse and an impressive career in entertainment and broadcasting on the national and local level. Shes hosted and reported for shows including "EXTRA," "Extra en Espanol," "Livin' Large," and "Miami Hoy." In New York and in Miami, she starred as Maria in the Off-Broadway hit "4 Guys Named Jose and una Mujer Named Maria" and then signed a major record deal. And shes a former Miss Florida and second-runner up to Miss America- where she won over $50,000 in scholarships, which helped her graduate with a double major in broadcasting and music from the University of Miami. Lissette is a self-made multitalented woman who has excelled in every single one of her professional endeavors and the best of her career is yet to come...
