Police Assault On People's Assembly Inside Bloc

The inside bloc had marched out of the Bella Centre on 16th December 2009 and had got as far as being on a bridge about 50 metres from the main People's Assembly where they had been headed off by a police blocked. Being then stuck on the bridge, this video shows riot cops charging in from the Bella Centre side of the bridge to effectively kettle the demonstrators from both sides, causing them to be squahsed in and thrown to the ground. The inside bloc was made up of so-called "observers" from NGOs and indigenous groups as well as a number of country delegates, however by the point in which the video is shot many had already left the 200-strong throng do to the tenseness of the situation.

Yup, the UN needs your money so they can protect your rights & freedoms, & save the environment as they show with their actions by using preventative arrests, prolonged detention without charge, stopping people's right to freedom of speech and to protest. They help the environ by travelling in private jets, limo's and luxury cars. Now how can we not trust them? Let's give them billions so they can spend it on whatever they choose. Maybe a nice 3rd world dictator could use some of the dough.
