In a tribute to both the beauty of Vera Bradleys colors and the beauty of giving back, we unveiled our newest color, Hope Garden, along with our Spring 2009 Collection at the Tournament of Roses ParadeĀ® in Pasadena, California, one of the worlds biggest and most famous displays of flowers. There were over 1 million spectators along the parade route and 47 million viewers watching at home.
Five breast cancer survivors, including actress Cynthia Nixon and Foundation Development Ambassador Heidi Floyd, along with Vera Bradley co-founder Patricia R. Miller and her two grandsons, rode on the Vera Bradley Hope Grows Float. The float, which was made with an abundance of fresh and dry flowers, including Mums, Green Tea Leaf and Lemon Leaf, was also awarded the Directors Award for Outstanding Artistic Merit in Design and Floral Presentation!
Vera Bradley gives 10% of net proceeds from our breast cancer awareness patterns, including Hope Garden, to the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer and other breast cancer projects and services.
