Windows 7 Stereo Mix Problem (Loud Noise)

I've been trying to set up the stereo mix on my new computer and I get the same problem every time I try to fix it. I end up getting loud noises every time I enable the stereo mix, no matter what settings I put.

EDIT: I was able to fix the problem by reinstalling my sound card driver. This can be found by searching for the sound card's name

You need to go to properties on stereo mix go to listen tab and uncheck listen to this device.

See if you have any errors running in the back ground. Turn off your PC and press F8, start up in safe mode and see if it dose the same thing. if it dose not start as normal, and press the windows key and press r, type msconfig go to start up and dissable every thing you do not need. that should fix it
