save the whales and dolphins

When i found out that japan was killing whales and dolphins, i was extreamly upset. then ove the summer i watched the brave sea shepards try to stop the whaling. it was because of these amazing people that i have decided to take action against this.these animals have no voice and its up to us to get the word out on these cruel,bloody and insensitive practices.In 1986, the International Whaling Commission (IWC) enacted a moratorium on all commercial whaling. Since then, three nations - Iceland, Norway, and Japan - have brutally slaughtered over 25,000 whales under the guise of scientific research and for commercial purposes. The IWC does not have the capacity to enforce the moratorium. Sea Shepherd, guided by the United Nations World Charter for Nature, is the only organization whose mission is to enforce these international conservation regulations on the high seas. It is a bloodbath, cruel and barbaric. Each year, the idyllic and peaceful setting of the village of Taiji in southern Japan is shattered by almost unspeakable cruelty as incredible pain and ultimate death is inflicted on defenseless dolphins. - Paul Watson, president and founder Sea Shepherd Conservation Society : hopefully we can save these wonderous creatures, beacause i couldn't possible imagine my life without dolphins and whales in it.
