I'm just a fan of Monaco and the Monegasque people/culture, but Rainier III was one of the best monarchs ever. He transformed Monaco's image from being a playboy's playground and a place to hide from income tax to being a legitimate and well respected member of the international community which, despite their small size, continues to make a global impact on numerous affairs. RIP Rainier III.

They have my sympathies. It is refreshing to see that they are not so stuck up as to not show their emotions in public. It just drives me nuts when some public figure dies and their family is there expressing nothing. This funeral was so so sad. Very touching pictures here. Excellent clip. I also see that Princess Grace's grand daughter has all of her grandparent's looks. She is striking absolutely striking.

Нет и не будет не у кого людей ближе и дороже чем мама и папа.Смотрю порой на фото.На глаза ушедшего Принца.В них ум и доброта.Какую сильную семью они воспитали.Как умеют держать себя в руках не смотря на горе, но по лицам все таки видна скорбь и печаль.Мои искренние соболезнования.Надеюсь что на небе самая красивая пара в Мире снова вместе!Царство ИМ-Небесное!!!

I think that Juan Carlos will also be genuinely and widely mourned, even by most of Spain's republicans, for his efforts in establishing Spain's modern democracy. However, I also believe you are correct in that he and Queen Elizabeth II will be the last of their kind in representing traditional monarchy

I agree with your comments about holding respectful memories for royalty,with the exception of our current monarch,Elizabeth II.She is the last of what true monarchy represents,chosen by god,in the service of her people.After her death then I'm afraid british monarchy will no longer hold any appeal or mystery.The film of HSH,Prince Rainier III's funeral was actually quite touching.And,Adagio for Strings so appropriate.

I think rainers funeral will be the only funerzl that will honoured for a long with respect as most other European monarchy's are cursed somehow with scandals and controversy's especially our British monarchy's I can't see any funeral regarding British Royal family's especially no regard for Charles and especially Camilla's funerals that's for curtain. The only time I can see a scandal free British Royal family is when The queen and charles and other elders pass away which will be a while yet
