So you hear slum and remixes... atcq and pharcyde stuff... years upon years of hearing dilla beats... when limewire was hot, i came across this track in a folder called "Jaylib Rejects"... im pretty sure it was like track 8... they werent named, just tracks 1-15... i fell outta my chair. If there was EVER a dilla beat that i felt was the THE dilla beat... not saying best but THE beat that comes to mind when i think of dilla... hands down for me is this very beat.

If you listen closely you can hear, "China Dance" from Fantasia 2000. ;) J Dilla was extremely creative with his beats! This one just puts a big ol' grin on my face! :D

Real talk, I write about 90% of my songs to Dilla tracks, and then make beats later. There's something special about him, and it hurts to know he's gone. What's amazing is his legend after the fact. Most musicians are in it for the now, when ther are alive, but to be remembered, if only for 200 years, is much more special. The number one thing Dilla has blessed us with are these unreleased joints, and the many producers who are inspired by him.

Long story short. Dilla Forever.
