@vaeveja That's a fantastic way of putting it. I have a few like that, I love Bava's Lisa and the Devil, though it's an entirely different film. From the 80s, I also love David Lynch's Wild at Heart and Cat People, which is one of my favourite horror films.

@MmeLEnfer The main reason why i love BLUE VELVET so much is because it manages to be so ugly and so beautiful at the same time. I can think about a few other titles who did it quite well (EL TOPO and OLDBOY, by example) but none of them affected me so much as Lynch's masterpiece. It's the best movie from the 80's, in my opinion.
