um...it shouldve gone farther...cuz im in 8th gradde and we had to make one out of one mouse trap, min was speed. And it STILL went farther than that

I thought it would have been faster. A class in our High School made them, but I never got to. Pretty cool project I think. How much time do you put into one?

If the string is wound around a fat section of axle and the mousetrap arm is extended then the force is delivered over a longer time and the car goes farther and builds up greater speed. Glad you like it :o)

that was cool..but....i made one last yeah with 6 mousetraps and it went more than 160ft...if u wanna c it ill send u some pics....lol...

Nice. A kid in my physics class in HS went diagonally across the gym, then kept going out the door! lol. He used records (yes, big, floppy "old school" records) for his wheels! lol
