Irving Flood Control District Section III (IFCD 3) is responsible for providing flood control facilities and operations and preserving the high quality of life provided in the Valley Ranch Community. The District safeguards people and enhances the economic value of property by constructing and maintaining canals, ponds and other natural water management facilities throughout the community.
THANKS for this interesting and informative video! A great history lesson about how this planned community came to be and the role the picturesque waterways play in keeping it safe and dry. The most recent residents may not know the history or reason for the nice canals, or the adjacent Sam Houston Trail Park, although they enjoy walking, running, or riding their bicycles there. This video provides the hows and whys for a new generation that wasn't around when they were built. Nicely done!

Awesome video. Very well put together and very informative. I was surprised to see something this good come from a government entity!
