hm. the dog's interruption was nothing to do with the stop. From a rider's perspective.

I think if you do bring your dog with you, you should keep it on the leash don't matter what at the big event like that! Really I think they should not allow dogs at the serious show like this. That dog ruined all that work and sweat and preparation that that rider put it in to this show! Keep your dogs home .

screw the dogs breed! stupid mutt!!

Dog owners need to be much more aware. It's not deficult to at all to keep your dog on a leash and to hold it. If you can't at least to those 2 simple things, do a favor for the competitors and leave the dog home. Competitors spend much in means of time and money to have some careless person take it all way. Shame on the dog owner.

wtf , its a competition horse , it isnt used to vicious animals chasing and attacking it !
-
.... a horse of that caliber really shouldn't be that phazed of something like that.

What an idiotic thing to do! Yea ill take my dog to an event then not hold onto its lead!!! Im sure that most horse owners have a dog, and take it to events but at least we do the smart thing and make sure it doesnt interfere with the horses, riders or the event in general!!

I read that they took the refusal off, and thats all they can do for him. Thats excellant! But the owner should have been fined up the wazoo. Def pay for his entry!
It was definitely the dog. I was standing right there when it happened. The dog's owner was not even holding the leash. She was sitting on the ground fiddling with her camera with her back turned to the dog. Very irresponsible. Lucky the horse didn't step on the dog; he was right under his hooves. A good, stiff fine would have been most appropriate.
