Voice Control Tutorial on the iPhone & iPod Touch Call/Music 4.3.1 [How To]

Tutorial showing all the features from Voice Control available on the iPhone and IPod Touch. I also enumerate the different voice commands you can say to change music, make calls, call numbers with extentions, etc.

Here are the different voice commands:

Starting Voice Control ---------------------
Hold home button or headset middle button for about 2 seconds, youʼll
hear a double beep and the voice control feature shows on screen.

Phone Commands ---------------------
"Call"/"dial" plus name or nickname from address book. May need to
add phone number type, such as "home", "work", "mobile". "Call John
Smith Mobile".
"Call"/"Dial" plus the number. "Dial 555 9592".

Music Commands ---------------------
"Play"/"Play music".
"Play playlist" plus playlist name. "Play playlist gym songs".
"Play album" plus album name. "Play album The Wall".
Play artist" plus artist name. "Play artist Pink Floyd".
"Pause"/"Pause music".
"Next song".
"Previous song".
"Shuffle".
"Genius"/"Play more like this"/"Play more songs like this".
"Whatʼs playing?" (general information)
"What song is this", "Who sings this song", or "Who is this song
by" (specific information).

Misc Commands ---------------------
"What is the time?"/"What time is it?"
"Not that one"/"Wrong"/"Nope"/"No"/"Not that".
"Cancel"/"Stop" (exit voice control)
"Help"

can you help me, i have an ipad and was starting to update it and something went wrong, then my ipad deleted everything from so it started everything like from the start, how do i get all my programs back?

@imfromzbs You have to restore from a backup. Plug your fleshly restored iPad and it will ask you from what backup you want to restore it. Choose your old backup and it will get everything back. If you didn't backup, you simply have to re-install everything :(

@teresaepfeil Maybe your headphones are broken or the button is stuck. Try with other headphones. If it still does it, bring your phone with headphones to the apple store and they should be able to fix it or replace your device. Cheers!

I'll try it. Seems like the malfunction only occurs when I used a headset with microphone.

@teresaepfeil I really don't know. if you hold your home button, it will start. I you go in your settings, go to Passcode Lock, then change the Voice Diale to Off. You need a passcode lock for that I think
