Uh just so you know---a MOPED is actually a bicycle with a motor, so how could that be better than a scooter ( which is exactly what a vespa, lambretta, ect are ).

@watson2523 Vespas are full metal body, as are all vintage scooters.
You are right that most modern scooters are plastic, as are most modern sportbikes. Even my Moto Guzzi has an ABS tank... it's actually pretty common these days.
