@ahneong First, God is gracious to us. He offered us Salvation from the punishment of sin through Jesus Christ. Then we accept his Grace by having faith in Him, by believing in Him. This is how we receive Salvation. Then comes Good works, the result of our faith. It is not the other way around, since works cannot lead to faith. It just cannot happen (simple logic). Works come out naturally from a faithful person. The quality of works is greatly different from a faithful person.

A better question is why evangelicals/fundamentalists persecute Catholics with great energy when Jesus taught us to love our neighbour! but then some will say that they do love Catholics and yet secretly they are liars in their hearts.

that pope (bene) is not a true pope, he is of a new religion. The pope fallows the rules contrary to true catholic teachings and even protestants. I do not call him a pope.
