Breast cancer is something women think they know all about: Look for lumps; have mammograms; see our doctors.

But none of that will save you from one silent breast cancer killer that women know virtually nothing about.

It's called "inflammatory breast cancer," and it's something every woman must know about.

  • Hi Shay,

Yes, Patti has been in contact and shared the news of her daughter with me recently. Bless them both.

I want to wish you all the best and carry on!!! While I do not have cancer, a very good friend of mine has had it and I do this for her and for everyone affected.

    Best wishes!

  • What's causing this? 10 years ago, you never even heard of this stuff? And it's happening to younger, and younger women, every year? It kinda makes you get paranoid and wonder, what the hell is going on here?!

  • I agree with you. Something is definitely going on...

  • This really hits home. Thank you. My mom has had IBC for about two months now. Once again thank you.

  • Thank you for visiting and for the comment. Very, very best wishes to your mother!

  • this is really scary, I did not know about this....thank you for posting it...

  • My friend is 27 and was just diagnosed in January. She is now 8 months along and undergoing chemo. She has to have a double masectomy and hysterectomy after the baby is born in a few weeks She will then undergo radiation as well. Sadly, this is what had to happen for us to learn about IBC. I can't comprehend why more information isn given to women on this terrible type of cancer.

  • I was on the jury for a malpractice suit over 20 years ago, because the doctor didn't diagnose the IBC. I cannot believe it's still not widely known today. Good video. Good info.

  • It should also be noted that IBC closely resembles eczema. I had a strange looking "mark" come up on my breast recently and my Dr. was concerned that I had IBC. This is a very aggressive form of cancer and is also very rare. If you even suspect that you have this get to your Dr. right away and get checked. Do research also on IBC, eczema, and Paget's Disease of the nipple.

  • Hey... my mum was diagnosed at the end of may... she has stage three and it had hit her lynth nodes... her Chemo is going well, though she suffers badly with the side effect.. stay positive, I know thats difficult in the early days... and give your mum love and cuddles, she'll need them...Make every day count... if you wanna PM me, please do, am happy to give you a first hand account of what its like to see your mum go through it..it does get easier, I promise. xxx

  • A friend is suffering from this condition after previously having breast cancer 2 yrs ago. I never new about this until now. Thanks for the insight. I will certainly spread the wisdom!

  • I will e-mail everyone in my addrress book with this valuable informative video . Thank you for opening my eyes to this horrible disease.

  • it is extremely important for every woman to know about IBC. being the rarest form of breast cancer, it is often neglected as a diagnosis.Recently i have done preliminary research into why IBC is caused (wether it is genetic, environmental, etc.) and it really opened up my eyes to the problems which women face. Thanks for posting. It really does make a difference.
