Rajiva Wijesinha replies to baised UN Special Rapporteur Philip Alston

The notorious, baised UN Special Rappoteur P Alston has repeatedly tried to tarnish Sri Lanka's image by throwing bogus war crime charges against Sri Lanka. Alston is a blind to west European war crimes committed in Iraq and Afghanisan and has been an "Excitable Chap" on Sri Lanka. Prof. Rajiva Wijesingha severely criticised for sending a letter based merely on a reported newspaper interview asking for explanations on the killing of LTTE terrorist leaders during the final phase of the war.

Human Rights & Disaster Management Ministry Secretary Professor Rajiva Wijesinha has been a frequent critic of Prof. P. Alston for years for his baised Rapports at UN who represents and defends only rich European nations.


"We got a letter from (UN Special Rapporteur on Extra-Judicial, Summary or Arbitrary Executions) Philip Alston and it is another nuisance. I think that Gen. Fonseka shouldnt have said that or if he hadnt said that, Ms. (Frederika) Jansz shouldnt have made it up. But unfortunately Philip Alston sent us a letter in which he bases his question on a reported interview" said Prof. Wijesinha.


Rajiva Wijesinha said that he had already sent a letter to Mr. Alston stating that the particular interview had been withdrawn or rather Gen. Sarath Fonseka had said he never said anything of the sort.


The very basis of this allegation is gone. Mr. Alstons letter no longer stands and I suggest that he withdraws it.


This has happened earlier as well. In July there was a news report on a website which claimed that Gen. Sarath Fonseka had said that he had to take some tough decisions during the war as those who were in airconditioned rooms could not do a war. It also said that he had got messages not to kill anyone who came with white flags. Gen. Fonseka had claimed that knowing the damage caused by those who had arrived earlier without flags, he had taken the decision to destroy the LTTE.

So that implies that he had been responsible for this. But Im sure no sane man would have said something like that. Probably the website just exaggerated it, said Prof. Rajiva Wijesinha

Sarath Fonseka is a power hungry greedy and vengenful individual.That is why USA bought him and it was all done through the USA high commisioner in Colombo.He has no spine at all.If he wanted to stop corruption why is he with people who are the fore fathers of corruption?Ridiculous.
