Sodexo Vice President Arlin Wasserman speaks on October 11, 2009, in Des Moines, at the Community Food Security Coalition's annual national U.S. conference, which Sodexo sponsored. At 3:30 in the video, he announced the willingness of Sodexo, a multinational corporation that specializes in food services, to "support" the demands of the Coalition of Immokalee Workers (CIW), a group of farmworkers who are fighting for fair wages and dignified labor conditions in Florida's tomato fields. However, Sodexo still has not followed through with these words by negotiating an agreement, and the farmworker campaign against them continues. "It is time for Sodexo to put their voice into action," says CIW. To learn more about the issue, visit http://nmyoungfarmers.wikidot.com/farmworkers and http://ciw-online.org
