The original version of this song was written by a great writer for Manfred Mann in 1966. Manfred Mann's version is on YouTube. I learned this while listening to Sirius radio.

Loved this version since I bought the 8 track tape of Night On The Town album in the Spring of 1977. Tapes got me through the Summer of 1977 along with Jimmy Buffett's Changes In Latitudes and James Taylor's JT.
