@kidfuryca That's what part of being a good singer is all about. Many singers sing other singers' songs(after getting the rights to them of course), but they make it their own style, they don't just copy it. That's a quality that Simon loves to see in the contestants, which is why he liked Adam Lambert and Crystal Bowersox, who just like Clay finished in 2nd place on American Idol. Amazingly ironic, isn't it?

@kidfuryca yeah which is exactly what simon keeps talking about (and all the judges), they tell them to not sound like them, and then they tell them to switch it up and don't sound like them......no wonder the poor kids are so confused.
