What do you do when you get stuck in a Granby Roll? Jake Varner gives one answer in the 2010 NCAA wrestling finals. If you know a better way, please post it response.

  • Shows that a granby should be hit as hard as possible. jake got through because he kicked his legs. I don't know why the granby is still debated. It obviously works on the best wrestlers out there. When you become Div. 1 Natl Champ, then say it doesn't work. Until then, we'll keep using it.

  • @87elway You just hit the nail on the head. What you said is why I posted this. A Div 1 national champ hits what looks like a slow granby but then he gets away. Good insight.

  • The first time you hit a granby, you feel basically invincible

  • Granby with him it seem like the guy on top was gonna but decided not to

  • @dobson44 never call yourself a measly d III wrestler again i have so much respect for d3 guys wartburg and coe damn near beat 2 really good d1 teams this year byrone tate is an animal for wartburg he almost won the midlands

  • lol you can here the coach say follow!!!

  • @87elway im in college now, and although im just a measly div. III wrestler it still is a very powerful move, even at my highest level of competition. Never underestimate any type of funk, rolls, or anything that is not "basic wrestling"...... 1 name.... Ben ASKREN

  • the bottom man would have had the granby if he would have gotten the tight waiste wrist.

  • i love the move, i use it all the time, and the best part is it works on everyone, even collegiate all americans, submission grapplers, and MMA fighters
