I claim no ownership of the artist and song.
Song - Misery
Artist - Jonathan Ian
Album - II

Lyrics:

Misery let me be, I am too tired
Misery set me free, I need my time
Misery let me be I can't go on like this

And I don't care for anything I know
From past to the present it's hard to let go
So nothings here, it's all been burned free
Except me

Pictures hung with no sentimentality
Words written both hollow and cold
Your bones bore me, but I wont say a word
I just want to go

If I died could I really let go
Tormented reliving of the same old story
I guess it's hard to say if I know
There's nothing new in this world

So Misery let me be, I am too tired
Misery set me free, I need my time
Misery let me be I can't go on like this

Misery let me be, I am too tired
Misery set me free, I need my time
Misery let me be I can't go on like this

  • I can't find any pictures of this guy!

  • @FightWithTools77 I think he chooses not to disclose any personal info which is probably good. The Lord and Master just wants to work in peace. :P

  • @MrWallow7 : I can understand wanting to make money off your art, I'm a working class guy so I'm not a dumb ass about real world needs. I admire JIM because he's done all that he's done on his own without anyone. I still stand by what I said about recording industries but I would also like to add this. They're obsolete. People like JIM don't need a producer when they can self promote through the internet. Granted it's harder to draw audience but he's managed great thus far with Foamy

  • @Nagneto edit: *not "these guys" . "this guy (JIM)"

  • @Nagneto look, nobody mentioned the RIAA scumbags. Having a label doesn't mean getting "commercial" nor altering one's music. Yes, some companies require that some artists achieve a certain number of sales so they demand them to change their work to be "sell-able". But "SOME" companies! I imagine these guys in SubPop, where very good an authentic artists are in, and in good hands apparently.

Being indie does't mean being "cool" nor "immaculate". What you said was a bit hipsterish

  • @MrWallow7 : Still missing the point of indie.

  • @Nagneto I reiterate: "good-hearted producer"

They're rare, but they are out there...

  • @MrWallow7 : Um no. Music Producers ruin everything. JIM would never sell his soul to the RIAA who would alter his works to be as bland and "family friendly" as everything else on the radio. That's why he's indie and that's also why he rocks.

  • This music is so cool :) I wish a good-hearted producer would approach JIM just to help him out with his music scene and fix the little things that could really bring his songs to life...

  • @Laurie2733 i have to agree. this is awesome music that seems wasted on the masses

  • His songs are very poetic. I think I'm gonna have to listen to his music more often now.
