KOF Klub: King of Fighters 2001: Original Zero

The millenium was a year old. ~And with its first birthday, the millenium saw the arrival of The King Of Fighters 2001. At first it seemed KOF had reached its end, thoguh thankfully, before SNK would vanish forever, a company calle dPlaymore and a Korean company named Eolith would buy SNK and save it from a horrible fate.

KOF 2001 wraps up the NESTS storyline. It introduces a load of new characters such as Angel the slut, May Lee the Jhun replacement and of course, that ever lawyer baiting git, K9999.

One of its principal characters was the sub-boss, Zero.

Wait....Zero, you ask? Didn't Zero die in KOF 2000? Funnily enough the moustachioed wonder was merely another of NESTS charming clones. This bloke is infact the original. The real deal.

After players defeated all in their way, they were taken onboard a blimp for the reward ceremony....only for the blimp to break in half, the front heading higher and higher in the sky. They were then confronted by....Original Zero. Zero was flanked by his cronies, a ninja called Ron, a blakc lion named Glaugan and a Krizalid clone-

Wait...

A CLONE OF A CLONE OF A CLONE? What the fuck, NESTS? I know you didn't have much money, but that was just plain lazy!

Igniz: The man responsible for said clone has been sacked.

Anyway, Original Zero proved to be a huge headache for players. He was the cheapness of Zero as a SUBBOSS. And he was there to warm players up for the real horro. Original Zero did not have the Shadow Possession Jutsu or Zero Fart that his superior clone had. What he did have, was Gratuitous and Unforgiving Striker Rape. BIG Striker Rape. He could summon Ron to break your guard, Krizalid to fuck you up adn Glaugan to claw you.

He had the same supers as Clone Zero. But with Ron, it went from Hard to NINTENDO Hard. If oyu tried blocking LOL BLACK HOLE, he could summon Ron beforehand smash your guard wide open. It could go like this:

Yuri: OH SHIT He's ognna use a suepr, better block
Ron: Hai lol I'm here to smash your guard and leave you wide open
Yuri: OUCH! Well at least Zero isn't using that damn Black H-
Zero: *uses Black Hole*
Zero: WOULD YOU LIKE A CUP OF DEATH

Thats Zero in a nutshell.

Anyway, if oyu DO actually beat the son of a bitch, he urges you to get out. You tell himt o piss off, but looks as if he was right....

But thats a story for another time...

Anyway, here's his Moves.

Cutter Arts: QCF and any punch: Same as Clone Zero. Low Punch fo rVertical, High Punch for Horizontal.Vertical can reflect fireballs.

Summon Ron: Forward and High Punch: This is cheap as hell. Ron will appear out of nowhere and hit you. It can set you up for a combo adn worse, it can break your guard. CHEAP.

Summon Krizalid: Forward and Low Punch: Krizalid performs Typhon Rage This move can set you up for a juggle fest, if not then it does multiple hits. Though its short range does mean Krizalid's Typhon RAge isn't too useful.

Summon Glaugan: Forward and Low Kick: Glaugan pounces at you. Remember Rodem, Rugal's pet panther? Rodem was more badass than Glaugan can ever be. But yeah.

DESPERATION MOVES: Super Cutter Arts: QCFx2 adn any punch: Who cares? Exactly the same as Clone Zero

LOL BLACK HOLE: QCFx2 and any kick: Much like CLone Zero's, tohugh made cheaper with Ron.

2K2UM MAX2/HSDM Only: Assissted Dungeon Chamber Of Nothingness: Original Zero summons his buddy Ron to whack your soul from your body. Zero then proceeds to sic Krizalid and Glaugan on you, and they proceed to Shun Goku Satsu you. After that, Zero puts your soul back in. What can I say? It hurts.

I been playing around with O-Zero in 2002 UM and he's just not as fun as he is here :(

For one, his strikers are faster. This means no more of that fun stuff, because they do their moves the instant you do the button. And the lion's range is hugely crippled. Ron is horrible though, I don't think he's helped me at all yet.

I love, love, LOOOOOVE spamming strikers with O. Zero. It's soooo much fun to just sit back and throw all three of his homies out in order.
