  • this is the very material that i am so stressed with for so many years. im still having hard times differentiating the vowel sound of (boss, bus) (small, smug) (Paul, punch), not to mention im not able to pronounce them as two separate sounds in regular life. Do you think native american poeple would be confused if i just use the in between sound?

  • I wouldn't worry too much. When you are speaking the context is the most important part. Many people have accents in English and are easily understood. A slight difference in the vowel sound won't affect whether or not the other person will be able to understand you. Don't stress! :)

  • You moron!

Americans speak English just fine! Maybe Americans think the English sound retarded.

I think she did just fine. Besides, this vid is for people LEARNING English. She's not really even speaking English as she would in a normal conversation because she's helping with pronunciation.
