Movie version. Cinderella is played by the excellent actress/singer Eva-Ingeborg Scholz. I don't know why, but "Cinderella" isn't called Aschenputtel in german! Could someone tell me the reason?
The translation was hard, because german and english aren't my motherlanguages! Wenn es fehler gibt, sagt ihr es!
LYRICS "Ich hab ihn im Traum gesehen"
Ich hab ihn im Traum gesehen
und das Glück war nah.
Im Traum durft' ich zu ihm gehen,
doch jetzt ist die Wirklichkeit da.
Ich glaub an das Glück, denn einmal
wird wieder alles anders sein.
D'rum glaub ich, heute werd ich sehen,
ich muss nur zu ihm gehen.
Das Leben es lacht mir dann zu!
Das Leben es lacht mir dann zu!
Und morgen schon
werd' ich es sehen.
Ich muss nur zu ihm gehen.
Das Leben es lacht mir dann zu!
Some corrections: "Yes, I see it's a lovely morning, but it was also a lovely dream, you know?" and it's not "But he knows it...", it's "You know this", it's not "Of course you fell aslepp" it's "you naturally got enough sleep" not "Yes, and he makes me wake up" but "And you are pushing me out (of the bed), too"

"Cinderella" is based on the french version of the fairy tale "Cendrellion". And the German word for this is "Aschenputtle". It's a cruel nick name the sister gave her for sleeping near the ash and getting dirty because of this. But the movie is called Cinderella in Germany too, because the french version is different from the German one, which has no pumpkin, mice or fairy godmother. Only pigeons and a magic tree on the grave of her mother.
