I wanna kill the Gaoren but everytime its health is below 20% or lower, I keep ending up in repeling it :( can someone gimme some tips or armour (below HR4) to kill the Gaoren?

if i use a fire dragonsword.is that okay???my set is ceanataur armor with giaprey tasset for torso inc skill.is this a good combination?
