The first outing to the Targa Florio with the Sprite. Jack Wheeler and Martin Davidson aka 'Harry Martin'
made the long road trip to Sicily to compete on this tough road race of nearly 45 miles to the lap. Unfortunately the car was rolled in practice and did not start the race, but they would return to race various cars in the Targa every year until 1973.
