  • 05:31 Is that Jehan throwing his poems in the air? Haha

  • @LegsandJump Ramin Karimloo does have trouble staying on pitch at times, but I feel he does have a lot of control over his voice I would say he's a brilliant singer as is David Thaxton.Characters like Javert, have more luck in that it's less easy to hear when they go out of tune when I sing if I go out of key as Javert is less noticable.Personally though, thinking about it, Warlow is probably my favourite Phantom even over Michael Maguire (whos voice was real thin on highs at times)

  • @TheJacksForAllTrades Well, I prefer a singer to stay on pitch and have vocal control, especially when it's about a character like Enjolras (or Javert for that matter)...

  • @LegsandJump Yeah, I find that Enjolras' character tends to have quite a lot of different interpretatoins, more so than the other characters, maybe because he's not as set in stone as the other characters, I mean from what I've seen Anthony Warlow played Enjolras as slightly psychotic at times. I do prefer Ramin Karimloo vocally to Thaxton, just the raw sound itself, he sounds like someone I would follow into battle. Enjorlas is probably my second favourite next to Javert. :D

  • He is really good, very good compared to a lot of Westend Enjolrai. However his giggle at "the people's man...his death is the sign..." scared me.

  • @reginaldbj4 Basing an opinion on one bootleg is a bit iffy to be honest. Thaxton's voice is actually technically much better (more control, better diction, breathing, etc.) than Karimloo's. Their interpretations differ, Karimloo's at the O2 was hot-blooded, Thaxton's is coldly passionate. To me, his portrayal had more depth and intelligence, but of course everyone can have their own favourite. I don't really get why you comment on a video of him just to make a comment about Karimloo, though.

  • I don't feel that Thaxton's voice is as powerful or as captivating as Ramin, and Enjolras as a character is passionate and when I saw Les Mis it was the number one character that drew me in, all in all Ramin is on par with the original Enjolras and I feel that he is the best one. Everyone can have their own opinion

  • @reginaldbj4 *Enjolras. And I don't think you can make sweeping statements like "better".

  • @dyhtps I think I have to agree. I absolutely love Ramin's Enjolras because he was the first one I ever saw, but he's definately not the best one. Thaxton is brilliant :)

  • God I LOVE this Enjolras
