Welch confessed that she has not yet seen the broadcast but was impressed by the photos she saw of Perry's parody, during which she sang a doctored version of the Florence + the Machine hit, 'Dog Days Are Over'.
"I haven't seen it yet! I've seen pictures! I think she looks amazing!" Welch told MTV News.
"I was like, 'Yeah, that's it! You've got the hair, the dress, everything.' I've heard she did a really amazing job, and I'm kind of really honoured."

well "hate" might be a strong word, but i think ppl just get sick of overrated/overexposed celebs.. i started out not caring one way or another about katy perry, but every time i have to see/hear her i start to "hate" her a little bit more.. this parody was awesome tho - it'll probably be the first and LAST time katy perry was ever cool..

I don't understand why any Florence fan would be offended by this. There's nothing remotely negative about this skit, and if you're relevant enough to be parodied on SNL, then it's a sign you've pretty much made it.

I usually hate Katy perry but this was on spot, totally awesome, and im a TRUE florence fan, is nice to see her more name-checked in pop culture :)
