Vice President Joe Biden pays tribute to Sen. Edward Kennedy at the memorial service for his uncle at the JFK Presidential Library in Boston.

"For 36 years, I had the privilege, every single solitary day, going to work with Ted Kennedy," he said.

"Your father was a historic figure," Biden tells Ted's family. "He was a heroic figure beyond that.

"With Teddy... it was never, ever about him."

Finally, Biden also thinks that this is not the end of the Kennedy era. "Take a look at this incredible family... This generation of Kennedys... possesses more talent, more commitment, more grit, more grace, than any family I've ever seen."

  • you know what I find interesting is Joe is perhaps the President's greatest asset and was right about almost every issue behind closed doors but Obama disregarded his ideas. Do you think it's because he doesn't want people to see Biden as another Cheney?

  • Gotta love Joe Biden.

Joe Biden is a pretty big easy target, the term "foot in the mouth" was invented for him but every time he gives a speech it comes from his heart & gut & from where he grew up & he's never ashamed of it. Every time Joe Biden gives a speech that speech is coming Joe Biden & no one else. The only person he wants to be is himself. The term "comfortable in his own shoes" was also invented for Joe Biden.
