Playing through Blue in Green by Miles Davis. One of my absolute favorite jazz pieces. Playing my Kinal Kompact Acoustic Fretless Bass. The E and A strings are gut-core Oliv Cello strings (sweet!), and the D and G are Thomastik-Infeld Acousticores. Recorded with a 50/50 blend of the piezo pickups and a mic'd signal.

  • Beautiful playing, beautiful bass, overall beautiful rendition! BRAVO!

  • i think this in one of the best sounding basses ever. it's so beautifull and the sound is balanced, doesnt have a a metallic sound like a bass guitar, i would say this is the perfect sound for a bass.

    keep on playing

    peace

  • really nice playing, one of, if not my favourite recordings of all time, those Kinal Kompact's sound great! I'm surprised that such a warm tone can come from such a small body! wow

  • by far my favorite jazz song of all time, nailed it

  • God that is beautiful! I immediately added it to my favourites! I could stay up the whole night listening to you. Unfortunately I have to get up early :-) You are so inspiring to me.

  • Love your playing brother, the note choice and phrasing is lovely. Your tone is spot on too.
