Then on the layback spin (internationally she routinely gets ALL +3s for GOE), one judge here gave her a +3 and another gave her a -1??? And this system is supposed to reduce judging insanity???

If you look at the scoring sheet, the judges really screwed her on this. For example, the stunning double axle-triple toe that Scott called "beautifully landed" was "underrotated" according to the official. It doesn't look that way at ALL to me. And for her to get the same artistic marks as Flatt is insane. I don't think the US judges truly understood/understand the new judging system, considering Nagasu is scored much higher in international events.

@superskater221 i know! in national competitions they always put Rachael first and then in international competitions she always does way worse than her teammates. Mirai is so obviously more talented!
