Steve holds the unusual distinction of putting more songs (9) onto the Billboard Top 100 without ever crossing into the Top 40. The closest he came was with this 1963 recording of "Everyday I Have To Cry Some" which peaked at #46. Steve later co-hosted and produced Dick Clark's "Where The Action Is" for tv, and a some years after that, in partnership with others, helped produce K.C. & the Sunshine Band.

I was traveling between Massachusetts and Florida in December l962 and January '63, this song was all over the radio dial. I don't know why it wasn't at least top 20.

I hadn't heard this song for YEARS, thanks for posting it. I always liked it a lot. I think he was severely under-rated.
