Doctor Who Series 5 opening

UPDATE: Oh wow 5000+ views, awesome! I'm very happy for the positive feedback we've been getting (though a few people seem to think this was really done for the show) I will be willing to make a tutorial like someone asked but only if the demand is high. also Fanfilm-makers. I will consider making an opening for your show if you give me a shout. thanks again and forward this to your friends, lets go for ten thousand!!!

Went retro designing a theoretical opener for series 5. I'm a fan of old and new Who but if theres anything the old series had on the newer stuff it was music and intros!

Done completely in AE with the only third party tools being Optical Flares from video copilot. I'm also testing flash compression inside AE, file sizes are certainly kept to a minimum but I need to see what it looks like on the Web, will be reuploading if it looks bad

I considered it but decided against it. ultimately I wanted to pay homage to the older style of titles which didn't show the TARDIS usually. I did actually consider using one in the manner of the Baker titles I took the music from but I couldn't get a static image of the TARDIS to look the same way it did in the old intros, at least not on the time scale I was working on, restricted myself to eight hours before getting back to real work.

This is excellent. the theme version you have used was the least favourite of all the versions, but it goes to show, good visuals can save it. doesn't sound half bad

Oh, I know this. This is from one of the older Doctor Who series. Wasn't this the 5th Doctor's opening, or something like that? So you took that opening, edited the graphics and made it so resemble the 12th Doctor's?  Interesting.
