Written by John Paul from "Blues From Me To You" album.

guitar by Mark McGowan

Lyrics:

"I" part:
One thing I know, that you never will
even though I'm locked inside, I have the priceless skill.
I can crown you ruler of the world, and make your word the stage.
I'll supply the blood, the lust if you commit the change.

It's a curse to have the drive I do, when half I is half you.
And while you shake your lazy skin, I still sound the voice within.
I am the muscle and you the cramp.
You are the shade upon my lamp.
The bridge that I have built for thee, you've burned and now will never see.

I am the light that shines
I am the seeing eye.
The heart, the beat, the want, the try, I am the hidden cry.

"Me" part:
Me wants to have the painful need, but admit that me too scared to bleed.
Too shy to take the next big step, too dumb to see a given bet.
When you learned to walk, me just could crawl.
When you will run, me trips and falls.
We needs a common ground to be, the sweet success for you for me.

"WE" part:
I will die if me subside.
We need the spark two fates collide.
I say it's soft to just behave, but now it's me that cries and craves.

We are the light that shines.
We are the seeing eye.
The heart, the beat, the want, the try, we are the piercing cry.

  • Hey have you ever heard of David Jacob Strain? You remind me of him, (which is a good thing, your really good by the way) Anyway, I don't personally know him or anything but his music is similar. He's not a big artist but I saw him once at the loveless cafe in Nashville and the way he played his guitar was breathtaking, it was more like he made it talk then he was actualy playing it. Check him out maybe? Good stuff by the way, I just subed :D
