Crackpots is one of the games in this collection that although it is quite fun, I hadn't played it that often. I often refer to the bugs in this game as ants, termites, or spiders since they resemble the arthopods. It may be debatable that whether the red or the green bugs are the most difficult to deal with in the game, but it is definitely the red ones for me since it can be difficult to judge where they may end up. I have a feeling that this game may refer to older cartoons or a women's dream come true.

In Crackpots, Potsy must eliminate as many bugs as she can before they gobble up her home. Potsy can move to the left and right when either of the directions are pushed, and can knock over a pot by pressing the action button. The four types of bugs in the game are black, blue, red, and green in that following order. The black ones move up straight, the blue ones move slightly criss-crossing, the red ones move diagonally upward, and the green one move in a wider criss-crossing pattern (the green and blue ones do move similarly, but the green ones can be knocked out in three separate rows; the blue ones can do it only to slightly phase out a player). Once the house has been lowered to less than half of the screen, the game is over.

Not too bad for me here. Sometimes, however, when it seems that a pot could be knocked over, it happened to fail on me. It was especially devastating when I could get rid of three red termites in a row, and had caused her home to be eaten a second time in a row by them. I felt that this game could've needed more Game & Watchy movement, but I think the free movement would make it more of a challenge, too.

  • Did you take a photograph of your TV screen showing the required score and then send it to Activision headquarters to get a merit patch?

  • This is one of my favorite games from the Activision! I have this game, and I play this game all the time!

  • Looks like a fun alternative to Kaboom (one of my favorite Activison games). I like how in this game though that the pots can kill multiple enemies at once. The evening sky backdrop over the city in the backgrounds look nice.
