You make a lot of assumptions on me silly boy, And you also seem to answer points by babbling about something that i haven't even mentioned. Also, when did i say that the German national anthem was nazi stuff? I've only referred to the verse of the song formerly used in nazi Germany that Pete Docherty sang at his concert, which was received badly.

I'll give you some advice, stop trying to sound very clever because the more you waffle the more stupid you appear. Stick to the issues at hand please

Your response is to my comment is virtually irelevant. If you were seeking a UK/US bashing then you could've latched that on to some of the other comments instead of mine. You don't require a country to be a 'surveillance state' to ban relics that offend people, like they have done in Germany with nazi emblomism.

Although you accidentally make a good point about Germany's generally lax security system, a lot of terrorist cells originate there then tend to blow up other countries. Good on you!

BTW he sang it on an event which is mainly frequented by left-winged juveniles, so this unreflected reaction isnt represantative for Germany.

and for the others, just to explain, the first verse of our anthem, that Doherty sang, IS NOT forbidden, it is still the official anthem of Germany, but on official events, only the third verse is sang. But many people dont like it cuz the first words are "Germany, Germany over everything, Germany over everything in the world", which many Germans identify with the Nazi-ideology and many of us are still afraid that other nations think we are nazis.
