To get the true sound from a harp, throw those picks away and use the bare fingers. It will make your harp sooooo much sweeter. I use my little finger for lead a lot so I have to let the nail grow a bit longer.
Another advantage is that you can use the backs of your fingers to strum the chords if you play syncopation. I wish you well, Mr. Jones.
