Coldplay perfoming live in front of 16,000 people at the sold out Lanxess Arena in Cologne, Germany on September 12, 2008 during their "Viva La Vida" world tour.

The concert was awesome.

The chorus of the crowd during "Viva La Vida" virtually blew the roof off the Lanxess Arena and at one point Coldplay left the stage to perform an acoustic version of "The Scientist" amidst the crowd on the first level (only a few metres away from where I was sitting).

Could anybody tell me, how long this concert had lasted?

I can´t tell you for sure as I didn´t watch the clock..but a newspaper article on the concert said it had lasted 105 min. Personally, I found the concert to be such an intense experience that I completely lost track of time.

and i have one more question. 105 minutes just coldplay without a singer before?

Yes..the 105 min is just Coldplay without the supporting act Albert Hammond Jr. (guitarist of The Strokes)..in Cologne official starting time was 8pm. This was when Hammond Jr. started playing. It must have been approx. 9:00, 9:15 when Coldplay came on stage.

I wish you an awesome time at the concert. I noticed that a Czech newspaper featured one of my videos in their article about the Prague concert :)

dluve, what do you mean by your comment? Dutch and Flemish?? I am lucky, i have followed Coldplay for 10 years, Now, today its not so easy to get a ticket! I was next to those Dutch people and Im from Scotland, would my english talking have upset you? Considering Coldplay sing in English!!!

The first guy that commented is Dutch..that´s why I mentioned that I noticed many Dutch or Belgian people in the crowd :) And why should I be upset by English talking? Scottish accents rule :)

it was awsome that day!:D lots of people from the netherlands and belgium are going to germany, because rotterdam en antwerpen (i think?) is already sold out!
