Balloon in Royal Victoria Park

A balloon launch at Victoria Park, Bath on August 17th, 2009. I was trying an all handheld shoot with a shoulder mount - a tripod would have slowed me down, potentially representing a hazard. This way I also travel light.

Pleasantly surprised with the results. Way better than without the shoulder mount.

The downside - it made my shoulder, arms and back ache the next day. Can't quite figure out which hand to use for focus and aperture either. Need to get used to it.

Long time ago and just a test. I think it was 50fps, manual exposure, manual focus, shutter speed 1/100 sec., manual white balance, everything else was on default. The post effect is a custom Magic Bullet look, a variation of blockbuster.
