This group, under the "supervision" of Irving Mills (who also co-wrote this song), was basically Ben Pollack's band under an alias [he was under contract to Victor at the time].
I really like this record! Can you imagine all the jazz sheiks and dance mad flappers going thru the new records at the music store and coming across one named the WHOOPEE STOMP? How could they not buy it? ! I sure would have! Look at all the future band leaders in this all star jazz group. Amazing. and HOT! I want one! :)
