Back when I was taking piano lessons as a kid, Billy Joel was my hero. Once I took up guitar EVH replaced him, but I still like Billy's music.

@DinsdalePiranha67 Ah, Mr Joel is also the reason I began my struggle through piano lessons... Heh, I'm appallingly bad, (trust me!) but I'm persevering! Wind instruments are so much easier... Oh and I'd love to be able to play guitar but there's another one I can't do... :)

I saw this live in Feb when he was in OKC with Elton John. It's one of his best songs.  I just love Billy Joel.

Capt Jack supposedly was the street name of a drug dealer back in Oyster Bay. Joel supposedly watched a heroin deal go down from his window... Hence, the anti-drug Capt Jack

@TheMarianne109 Actually and I could be wrong here, but I think Captain Jack was actually the name of drug dealer who lived in Manhatten at the time Billy Joel was living there, don't know for sure but I do remember that's what they said on the radio other day after they played this song and gave a little back ground on it, either way cheers to good music, pour up another toddy and enjoy

I didn't know that "Captain Jack" was a nickname for heroin back in the 60's and 70's, i learned that today. Makes sense. This is a great song. I came across a "Lost Video" for this song which i think is pretty good, i posted it to facebook.
