how do we tell if a Kenyi African Cichlid is a male or female?

hi !! i just got 6 yelllow labs in a 30g tank, they r baby's just 2" long, i was wondering what kind of sucker fish would be safe for these fish??? and will the sucker fish clean the bottom of the tank of all the un eaten food that falls around? thank you an any help would be appreciated ! ( got these fish/tank/accoseries for my gf for feb 14th, shes attached to em now, an we dont wanna mess anything up :)

So the female cichlids are no spot

or you can just find the female with the mouthfull of eggs and put her in a separate tank so the baby's survival rate will go up by a lot.

That is fake coral and believe it or not many people do this with cichlids. Since saltwater tanks are expensive and hard to care for, people will choose colorful cichlids and fake coral as a substitute for saltwater. Also, since the coral is fake and made of water safe rubber, it won't scratch the fish.
