i think it unfair to use such a beautiful, talented woman like natalie portman to propagate the illusion of living in a functioning democracy. anyone with sense knows our voice doesn't REALLY count. :D

Sigh, I think Natalie Portman is pretty cool (she's vegan!), but this is a bit silly. While I'm not saying people shouldn't vote, it's ridiculous to think that our votes mean anything significant. In the States you guys at least get to vote on constitutional amendments, etc. but up here in Canada we get to vote for which party we support OR which person we want to send to Parliament (it's ONE combined vote, essentially), and that's it.

You criticized me for generalizing about those with PHds now you did the same thing. THe point was there are many educated, intelligent people who chose obama, I'm not saying you need to have a PHD to be intelligent, but most informed educated people like Natalie supported Obama. And by the way most people who are wealthy chose McCain. Many rich people DO NOT have PHds so for you to say people who have PHDs wants more money is ridiculous
